A 17 year old from Luke has been charged with 2nd Degree Rape and 3rd and 4th Degree Sexual Offense.
Court records show that a warrant for the arrest of Joshua Frederick Lands was issued Monday. He made his first appearance in court Tuesday and is presently being represented by the public defender’s office.
Lands, who is believed to be a student at Mountain Ridge High School, is being charged as an adult. Charges also include Sodomy, Perverted Practice, and 2nd Degree Assault.
There are two periods of offense listed in the charges, one from July, and the second from Saturday, December 9th.
Lands is scheduled for a bail review Friday afternoon, and a preliminary hearing in the case has been scheduled for December 26th.
C3I is heading the investigation and made the arrest.
WCBC News has been told that this is an ongoing investigation.
