At approximately 614pm officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a West Offutt Street residence for a report of an assault.
Officers arrived and made contact with the alleged victims. It was discovered that Seth Bronson Frye got into an argument with the female victim inside the residence leading to the assault. It was also discovered that a child was assaulted inside the residence prior to the arrival of police. Officers observed visible signs of injuries to the victims. A third victim had also been assaulted prior the arrival of officers but it was discovered that he did not reside together with Frye.
At the conclusion of the investigation Frye was taken into custody for assault. The third victim was directed to District Court for charges. Frye was later transported to the District Court Commissioner’s Office for a hearing. At the conclusion of the hearing Frye was released pending trial in District Court.
