Allegany County Hoping For State Funding For Demolition of Blighted Properties

Addressing area business leaders at a recent meeting, State Senator George Edwards said that Allegany County is hoping to receive some state funding for the demolition of blighted properties and buildings- specifically in Cumberland and Frostburg. Edwards said the state has nearly $30 million in funding for such projects- but very little of that has made its way to western Maryland.
