Just before midnight Saturday night, City Police officers were called to an Oak Street residence for a report of a domestic assault.
Officers made contact with a female victim who reported that she had been assaulted by her live in boyfriend prior to their arrival. Officers observed injuries consistent with the story provided by the victim. Officers made contact with Michael Delane Davis inside the residence and questioned him about the alleged assault. Davis admitted to the incident but gave a different version as to how it occurred. At the conclusion of the investigation Davis was taken into custody without incident.

Charge: Assault 2nd degree
