A civil lawsuit against the Allegany County Board of Education has put a dent in the board’s legal funds. Lorelee Farrell, now a sitting member the school board, filed the suit along with her husband Robert last May- prior to her election. The civil lawsuit is for alleged wrongful termination of employment surrounding Farrell and her husband ‘s separation of employment from the school system. During this month’s board work session, Finance Director Larry McKenzie provided a fiscal year wrap-up report- and was asked by Board member Sara Beth Bittinger about the cost of the lawsuit to the board…
