Allegany County Board of Education member Wayne Foote says that nobody should be surprised by a consultant’s recommendation to close at least two elementary schools in the county and to re-district those students. . Foote, speaking during this week’s regular board meeting, said that student population has been steadily declining since the early 1970’s- and with the loss of most major businesses- he doesn’t see that trend changing anytime soon…
