On July 16, 2025, Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Detectives with the Narcotics Task Force, and Patrol Deputies executed a search and seizure warrant at an apartment along the 800 block of Philadelphia Avenue, Mountain Lake Park. The search warrant was obtained as a result of an investigation of a burglary along L Street in Mountain Lake Park. During the execution of the search warrant and search of the apartment, Detectives recovered stolen property, approximately 4 grams of Methamphetamine, and related drug paraphernalia. 

As a result of the investigation, Laura Lynn Kindle, 36 years old, Mountain Lake Park, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of First-Degree Burglary, 2 counts of Theft $1,500.00 to $25,000.00, Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, and Possession of Methamphetamine. Kindle was arrested and transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where she is currently being held pending a bond hearing. 

Sheriff Meyers stated, “This investigation is a result of the cooperative effort of the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division, working together to protect the citizens of Garrett County”.
