As the result of a six month long investigation, Investigators with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) have charged 50 year old Robert Jimie Manuel, of LaVale, with multiple counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
In February 2016, the Allegany County Sheriff's Office received a complaint concerning Manuel and underage males. A joint investigation was initiated by the Sheriff's Office, Child Protective Services, and C3I. A search warrant was served at Manuel's residence in February and computers and other electronic media were seized at that time. Forensic examination of those items led to the recovery of numerous items considered child pornography.
Manuel was indicted by the Allegany County Grand Jury and faces ten (10) counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Manuel has posted bond and is currently free pending trial.
