City Police Make CDS Arrests And Serves Warrants

On December 14th an officer from the Cumberland Police Department was on patrol in the area Baltimore and Park Street when she observed a subject with active arrest warrants. 

The officer exited her police vehicle and attempted to contact the subject, Michael Shane Campbell.  Once Campbell saw the officer he fled from her on foot.  A foot pursuit ensued and Campbell was eventually taken into custody on Butler Alley without further incident.

During a search of Campbell incident to the arrest a small quantity of prescription medication not belonging to Campbell was located and seized.

Campbell was transported to the station for charges and processing.  While at the station Campbell was also served with two active Maryland arrests warrants.

The first warrant was for robbery, theft less than $100.00, and assault 2nd degree.

This incident occurred on 08/17/17 in the 500 block of Columbia Avenue.  No injuries were reported at the time of the robbery.

The second warrant was a District Court Bench Warrant for failing to appear on 12/05/17 on the original charges of two counts of possession not marijuana.

A third warrant from Keyser, Mineral County, WV was used a detainer pending extradition to West Virginia.  This warrant was for felony reckless fleeing of a motor vehicle.

 He was later presented to the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance.  As a result of the hearing, Campbell was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on the following:  $3,000.00 on the on view arrest charges $3,000.00 on the FTA warrant and $10,000.00 on the robbery warrant.

 

Arrested:

Michael Shane Campbell age 33, Cumberland, MD

 

Charges:

2 counts of CDS possession other than marijuana

Resisting arrest

Disorderly Conduct

Obstructing & Hindering

 

Warrant Service:

On December 14th the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Glenda Ashley Borror.  The warrant service stemmed from an incident that occurred on 09/16/15 on W. Clement Street.  Borror was transported to the District Court Commissioners office for her initial appearance.  As a result of the hearing she was released on her personal recognizance pending trial in District Court.

 

Arrested:

Glenda Ashley Borror age 31, Cumberland, MD

 

Charges:

Fraud Identity Information theft under $1,000.00

7 counts of Use/disclose credit card number

 

On December 14th the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Tyreak Markel Wingate.  The warrant service stemmed from an incident that occurred on 12/12/17 in the 400 block of Grand Avenue.  The victim of this incident did require medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.  Wingate was transported to the District Court Commissioners office for his initial appearance.  As a result of the hearing he was held on a temporary commitment pending another hearing 12/15/17.
