College Class Preparation Continues to Plague ACM

The growing number of students not fully prepared for college courses continues to be a problem for Allegany County College of Maryland- as it is forcing the college to seek additional funding to help pay for the remedial services that are required. During a budget presentation before the County Commissioners, College officials detailed the reasons for the request for an additional $225,000.  Christina Kilduff, the school's vice president of finance and administration, said much of the increase would go toward providing specific needs of the ACM student population, such as extensive tutoring and advising services…
