Last week was not a good one for the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad with Allegany County Commissioner Jake Shade questioning the fiscal operations of the tourist train- and a former employee coming forward and asking for a fiscal and operation audit. While ridership remains strong and revenue is up- railroad management is still seeking additional government dollars to help balance the books.
