County Emergency Services Clinicians, Patient, Hospitalized After Exposure

Two Allegany County Department of Emergency Services clinicians have been transported from a resIdence in lower LaVale after an exposure to an unknown agent, according to emergency service officials. 

 

“EMS units were dispatched to a residence in lower LaVale at 2:25 p.m. for a medical emergency,” Lt. Todd Bowman, public information officer for Allegany County Department of Emergency Services said. “The original patient and two DES clinicians were transported from the scene.”

 

Ambulances from LaVale, Corriganville, Bowman’s Addition, Allegany County Department of Emergency Services EMS Division and LaVale Fire Department responded to the Emergency. 

 

The three patients were transported to Western Maryland Health System, Bowman said. 

 

“All three patients went through hospital protocol decontamination,” Bowman said.
