CPD Makes Breaking & Entering And Warrant Arrests

On November 12th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police Department responded to a vacant home in the 300 block of Harrison St for the report of a breaking and entering. Upon officer’s arrival on scene, they located an unsecured door to home. During a subsequent search, two female subjects were located inside who did not have permission to be at the property. As a result, Sydney E Jester and Lauren A. Roman, both 21, of Cumberland MD were placed under arrest. Both Jester and Roman were taken before the District Court Commissioner for their Initial Appearances. Both subjects were released on their own personal recognizance.

Lauren Ashley Roman Age: 21, Cumberland MD.
Charges: Burglary-4th Degree

***Adult Arrest***
On November 12th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police arrested James Hugh Rossell, age 53, of Cumberland MD. Rossell was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by Allegany County Circuit Court for failing to appear for trial on September 10th, 2019 for a previous theft charge. Rossell was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center, held without bond.

***Adult Arrest***
On November 12th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police arrested Tyler Everett Earl Holland, age 28, of Cumberland MD. Holland was arrested on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant after it was discovered he had an active arrest warrant in West Virgnia. Holland was taken before the Disctrict Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. Everett is currently being held without bond, awaiting extradition to West Virginia.
