CPD Serves Summons And Responds To Fort Hill For Marijuana Possession

This summons was obtained as a result of traffic stop conducted on 11-18-16 in the 600 Blk. of Maryland Ave.  Davis was the operator of a vehicle that was stopped when he was not restrained by a seatbelt.  A k-9 was requested and gave a positive alert for the presence of illegal narcotics.  A search was conducted and a cigarette pack was located in his sock.  Inside the pack was a baggie of suspected heroin.  He was placed under arrest and transported to PH.  At PH he was charged with CDS paraphernalia possession and released.  The CDS was tested later and tested positive for heroin.  An application for charges was filed and the Criminal Summons was issued.  It was served on 12-5-16.

Marijuana Possession

 

The SRO was called to Fort Hill High School for a report of a student in possession of marijuana at the end of the school day.  Upon his arrival contact was made with an administrator who advised that they had been talking with a 16 YOA student in reference to a truancy issue.  While talking with the student the administrator detected an odor of burnt marijuana on the student.  An administrative search was conducted by the administrators prior to the SRO’s arrival.   Two small baggies of marijuana were located in a container in the students backpack.  The student admitted to smoking marijuana prior to coming to school to the administrators.  The SRO confiscated the CDS to be held as evidence.  The student was released to go home to a parent.   The juvenile was not taken into custody but charged on a juvenile petition for possession of marijuana that was forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Services for disposition.
