Cumberland Man Arrested Following Court Disturbance

On September 19, 2017 at 9:45am, Brady Aaron Twigg, age 24, of Cumberland, was at the Allegany County Circuit Court for an Initial Appearance on a Criminal Case. While leaving the courtroom Twigg start a disturbance by yelling at the Judge and Court Staff. Twigg was warned by Sheriff’s Deputies that he needed to lower his voice and quit causing a disturbance or he would be arrested.

Twigg then started yelling obscenities at Sheriff’s Deputies and disrupted courtroom activity. Twigg was then advised that he was under arrest. Twigg resisted arrest and continued to yell and disrupt court cases. Twigg was placed in restraints and transported to the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance. Twigg was charged with Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order, and Resisting Arrest.

Following his initial appearance, Twigg was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he is being held on $5,000.00 bond.
