DNR Releases Deer Numbers For Opening Weekend

December 4th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

The opening weekend of Maryland firearms deer season was rather middling for local hunters.

The Department of Natural Resources says hunters killed 500 deer in Garrett County and 421 in Allegany County last weekend, which featured some high winds and less than ideal conditions here.

The season continues through December 10th, and hunters are hopeful for better numbers.
