The new waterfall feature for downtown Cumberland was dedicated this past Friday. The waterfall has been named in honor of the late John Eiser, a prominent local architect. City officials, family, and friends were at the dedication of the feature located at Liberty and Baltimore Streets. In addition to other projects during his career, Eiser was involved in the design of the original downtown mall concept. WCBC’s Garrett Eagan talked about the work Eiser did on the mall…
“He was also responsible for designing many different architectural things in the downtown area when it went to a pedestrian mall. And one of the main things he was most proud of was the former fountains that were there at Liberty Street and then also at the corner of Baltimore and Mechanic.”
