There has been no shortage of publicity on programs from both the county and city designed to attract and assist new businesses wanting to locate to the Western Maryland area. A recent caller to WCBC asked if established businesses have access to the same kind of help in getting businesses to grow.  Mayor Ray Morriss said the answer is yes – and pointed to the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation…

   

“Stu Czapski, from the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation – that’s one of Stu’s roles so I would say talk to Matt, talk to Stu. That’s definitely something that we want. If there’s a business that has some concerns, some issues, we want to hear about it.”
