Farrell Believes Effort Underway To Have Her Removed From BoE

Allegany County Board of Education member Lorelee Farrell tells WCBC News she believes there has been an effort underway by some of her fellow board members to have her removed from the board.  The school board voted 3-1 last week to retain the services of David Cox, superintendent of schools, for another four-year term.  Farrell, who currently has a wrongful termination lawsuit pending against the school board, said she was advised not to vote by the school system’s ethics panel. Had Farrell gone against the opinion of the ethics panel and cast a vote, she could have been reprimanded by the state board- including the possibility of removal from the board. In an interview Monday with WCBC News, Farrell says while she has no proof that board members Marchini, Bittinger and Fraley tried to orchestrate her ouster- she strongly believes she is not welcome by that faction…
