To complement the Great American Eclipse Watch Party on the afternoon of Monday, Aug. 21, at Frostburg State University's Gira Center, FSU faculty Dr. Jason Speights, Dr. Michael Flinn and graduate student Jonathan Yantz have created a dynamic countdown site for the eclipse, which will include a link to the live feed (via YouTube Live Stream) from the FSU solar telescope which will be set up for viewing the eclipse in Frostburg. The live feed and countdown can be found here: http://eclipse2017.frostburg.edu/

Activities will take place from 1 to 4 p.m.at the planetarium, located inside the Gira Center in the center of campus. The free event is rain or shine. Parking is available in the Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center lot. Among the activities will be station set up to make pin-hole viewers.

A large number of people have already RSVP'd for this event, but additional viewing rooms will be set up for live feeds, and there is plenty of space on campus to stand and observe the eclipse with FSU faculty and staff leading discussions and activities.
