Governor Moore Says Teacher Vacancies Have Declined in Maryland

Governor Wes Moore announced Tuesday that the teacher vacancy rate in Maryland has dropped by 58% since the 2022-2023 school year.  During the 2022-2023 school year, there were 2,144 teacher vacancies across the state.   Now, three years later, the teacher vacancy rate has dropped by 58% to just 886 vacancies, according to Governor Moore.
