The Cumberland Police Department, in collaboration with the administrations of Allegany and Fort Hill High Schools, announces updated traffic patterns for the annual Homecoming Game on Saturday, November 1st, at Greenway Avenue Stadium. From 8:00 a.m. until one hour after the event concludes, vehicle traffic will be prohibited in front of the stadium. Drivers on Greenway Avenue will be redirected into the circle in front of Fort Hill High School for drop-offs and pick-ups. Brookfield Avenue will also be detoured, allowing only right turns to continue on Greenway Avenue away from the stadium. Police officers will be stationed at these locations to manage traffic. Those needing accessible parking should speak with one of the officers to be directed to available handicapped spaces in front of the stadium. Vehicles may also access Cecil Street from Greenway Avenue on a first-come, first-served basis; however, Cecil Street will be closed to traffic attempting to access Greenway Avenue from Ridgewood Avenue. Individuals transporting band members or Homecoming Court participants should coordinate with the officers for closer drop-off arrangements.
