In February of 2015, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan created the Heroin and Opioid Emergency Task Force and Inter-Agency Coordinating Council to tackle the state's #1 threat: heroin. Despite those aggressive efforts, the problem appears to be growing and is now worse than ever. Retired Major James Pyles, who spent 26 years with Maryland State Police and was part of the Coordinating Council, and he was a guest Thursday morning on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” hosted by Paul Mullen to talk about the state and local numbers.
