Those pushing for the reopening of schools got some support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Friday as it issued new guidance saying students can now be 3 feet apart and not 6. WBAL reports that despite the new guidance, it's still up to local school districts to make the final call. The CDC recommendation is an update to what school systems have been following since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. The CDC says it's now safe for elementary, middle and high school students, wearing masks, to be 3 feet apart, but there are exceptions, 6 feet distancing should remain in place for middle school and high school students who live in communities where transmission is high, if cohorting is not possible. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, while touring a school on the Eastern Shore said he hopes the relaxed guidelines will lead to more kids returning to the classrooms…
