Incidents on Westmar bus and Allegany High School investigated

Yesterday, Wednesday, March 20, 2019, a student on a Westmar Middle School bus was found to be in possession of a flashlight with the capability to deliver an electric shock. The bus driver returned to the school and gave the item to the school principal. No other questionable items were found to be in the student's possession. No charges were filed; however, the student will be disciplined in accordance with the school system's policy on student discipline. Parents will be notified of this incident via the Blackboard notification system.

 

Today, Thursday, March 21, 2019, a student at Allegany High School reported suspicious writing to school administrators. The incident was immediately investigated and deemed not credible. There is no threat to students or staff.
