UPDATED: Lock In Ended At Alco After Suspicious Individual Sighting

UPDATED 12:45 PM: Law enforcement officials have lifted the lock-in at Allegany High School and determined that there is no threat to students or staff. The investigation into this incident will remain ongoing. 

From ACPS…

"Law enforcement officials from the Cumberland City Police Department are currently on site at Allegany High School investigating the sighting of a suspicious individual near the school. As a precaution, the school has been placed in lock-in. During a lock-in, there is no disruption to the instructional day. Outside activity is cancelled and access to the building is carefully monitored with the assistance of law enforcement. Updates on the status of the lock-in will be provided as they become available."
