Longtime Radio Man Passes

Timothy "Tim" Carlton Aaron, a longtime fixture in local radio, has passed away at the age of 73.  Aaron, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday at his home. Tim was a U.S. Naval veteran during the Vietnam Era, having served onboard the USS Essex from 1968 to 1970. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees, Cum Laude, from Frostburg State University and retired from Allegany County Public School System in 2002 after 30 years of service. Timothy
Tim also worked over a span of 20 years at various radio stations including WCUM, WTBO, WHAG, WUOK, and WCBC.
Besides his wife, Patricia A. (Corbett) Aaron, Tim is survived by his son, Jefferson "Brad" Aaron; and his beloved cats, Harry and Watson. He looked forward to being united with his deceased cats, Teddy and Thomas. Thomas will be laid to rest with him.
Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Allegany County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 566, Cumberland, MD 21502; or that a kindness be extended to someone.
