Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford today checked another park off the official #LGStateParkBucketList, his new initiative to visit all 75 Maryland State Parks by the end of his term, with a hike at New Germany State Park in Garrett County. Last week, the lieutenant governor visited Cunningham Falls State Park in Thurmont, Frederick County, where he was joined by park rangers and Maryland Department of Natural Resources Secretary Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio. In addition to Cunningham Falls, Lt. Governor Rutherford has visited six state parks, including Patapsco Valley, Rosaryville, Sandy Point, and Casselman River Bridge since January 1, 2019. He also visited Assateague State Park during his first term in office.
