Morriss and Frazier Abstain from CSX Vote

Cumberland Mayor Ray Morriss and councilman Eugene Frazier opted to abstain from a vote during this week’s public meeting on an agenda item involving CSX Transportation. Both Morriss and Frazier are retired from CSX and both hold stock in the company. Tuesday’s decision not to vote, according to the mayor, was done so as to not present the appearance of a conflict of interest. With CSX expected to play a major role in the city’s effort to replace three West Side bridges- WCBC News asked the mayor if he plans to abstain from future CSX related decisions…
