Sheriff Robertson named WCBC’s “Person of the Year”

In light of the growing heroin and opiod crisis in the area, WCBC has selected Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson as the 2016 "Person of the Year". Modeled after Time Magazine's Person of the Year- the local award features and profiles a person, a group, an idea, or an object that "for better or for worse…has done the most to influence the events of the year". Sheriff Robertson has been the voice and the face of local law enforcement in the heroin battle in the community- in a year in which more than 40 people have died as a result of overdoses. For his tireless efforts in addressing the problem by both law enforcement efforts as well as educational programs- Sheriff Craig Robertson is WCBC's "Person of the Year" for 2016.
