Another day and another school shooting incident- this time in Dixon, Illinois where a student fired a gun at a police officer as students had gathered for graduation practice. The officer returned fire, wounding the student. The alarming increase in such incidents, including one in Maryland in March, has school systems across the country re-evaluating their safety and security measures. Locally, Allegany County Sheriff Craig Robertson tells WCBC News that there is good communication and teamwork between all area law enforcement agencies and he believes that there is a solid security system in place for public schools…

Time to put armed guards in school. Anyone who thinks Metal detectors aren’t needed is living in a fairy tale world
