Slight Hike In Gas Prices

Gas prices across Maryland continue to creep upward – slightly in some areas, not so slightly in others..

Nationally, today’s average price of $2.16 per gallon is up three cents per gallon for the week, but five cents less than last month. Gas prices continue to trend higher than last year at this time with the nationwide average 12 cents higher compared to a year ago.

Maryland’s average gallon price is five cents higher than the nationwide cost and has been rising for the fifth consecutive day. The state average at $2.22 per gallon is five cents higher than last week’s price, a penny higher compared to a month ago, and 13 cents higher than last year’s price on this date.
