State Senator Edwards Says General Assembly Session Will Begin With Paid Sick Leave Showdown

State Senator George Edwards said the upcoming Maryland General Assembly session will begin with a showdown over paid sick leave. Democrats vow to override Governor Larry Hogan's veto of their earned paid sick leave bill. Hogan recently introduced what he considers a compromise measure. The governor's proposal is a markup of the Democrats' bill he vetoed earlier this year. It also contains recommendations from a task force he convened to study and hold public hearings on the issue.
