Two Arrested for Multiple Drugs After Sleeping in Business

On Thursday at approximately 11:30 AM, officers from the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to a business on Industrial Boulevard for two subjects sleeping inside the business. Upon arrival the officers were able to wake the pair and identify them as Eric Justin Black and Meghan Jean Naylor. While speaking to the subjects the officers were given permission to search their belongings. The consent search of Mr. Black’s property revealed a large quantity of marijuana, methamphetamine, MDMA (commonly known as Ecstasy), Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), along with other controlled dangerous substances (CDS). Ms. Naylor was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were placed under arrest without incident. They were transported to the Cumberland City Police Station where Ms. Naylor was issued a criminal citation for CDS paraphernalia. Ms. Naylor was released pending trial in District Court. Mr. Black was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Jail without bond. Additional charges are pending in this case.

Two counts of CDS possession with the intent to distribute, Possession with the intent to distribute LSD, Five counts of CDS possession not marijuana, and Possession of marijuana greater than 10 grams

Meghan Jean Naylor, 25 Flintstone, MD

Charges:

Possession of CDS paraphernalia
