UPDATE: Units have cleared the scene and the street is now open.
INITIAL REPORT:
The Joint Communications Center of Allegany County has dispatched Cumberland police, fire and EMS to 721 Maryland Avenue for a working house fire.
Maryland Avenue has been shut down between Spring and Putman Streets to keep traffic away from the fire response.
