The Cumberland Times News reports a plan for determining whether or not school is canceled on Monday in Mineral County is in place should teachers in Mineral County continue their walkout.

West Virginia Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers announced Friday that the statewide work stoppage will continue.

Shawn Dilly, Mineral County superintendent, said that the county does have a plan in place to determine the number of staff that will be reporting on Sunday and once that determination is made we will be notifying staff and parents if we are going to be able to open school, Dilly is hoping that by Sunday evening parents will be able to be notified about any potential school cancellations.

The statement from the WVEA and AFT states that, "teachers and service personnel across the state will continue to be out on Monday.”

On Thursday and Friday, hundreds of teachers and employees rallied in communities across the county joined a statewide protest over pay and benefits that canceled classes in all 55 counties
