The West Virginia House of Delegates passed Friday a pay raise bill for teachers, school service personnel and State Police following a public hearing where many spoke in opposition of the bill. The bill passed on a 89-8 vote, and now heads to the state Senate. GOP Chairwoman Melody Potter spoke briefly Friday against the bill, claiming education unions are "great manipulators" and are the only ones who will benefit from the bill.
