WMHS Foundation Golf Classic winners

The 26th annual Western Maryland Health System Foundation Golf Classic was held in mid-September at the Cumberland Country Club. Thanks to community-wide sponsorship of the event, the tournament raised $120,000 to support patients in need of special assistance at UPMC Western Maryland. The event included dinner, silent and live auctions, and a two-flight golf tournament.

 

In the morning flight, Gross winners included Moran Coal, first-place winner with a score of 56, UPMC WorkPartners with a score of 57, and Allegany Radio Corporation with a score of 61. In the Net Division, the Egle House Memory Care Assisted Living won first place with a score of 49, followed by Belt Construction at 51 and Allegany Imaging at 54.   

 

Individual winners for the morning’s Closest to the Pin were:  Aaron Raines, Tim Stevens, Jake Dermer, Eric Johnson, Steve Wagner, and Marc Callahan. Straightest Drive was made by Wade Lewis, and the Longest Drive by Brad Myers.

 

In the afternoon flight, winners in the Gross Division were:  Chessie Federal Credit Union, scoring first place at 56, 2nd place RH Lapp & Sons, with a score of 58 and 3rd place gross winner Western Maryland Distributing. In the net division, Overwatch Security took first with a score of 53, followed by Belt Construction at 54 and Aerial Communications at 55.   

 

Afternoon individual winners for Closest to the Pin were Richard “Doc” Daugherty, Aaron Raines, Jonas Malone, Griffin Madden, Pat Robb, and Don Stevens. Both the Straightest and the Longest Drives went to Wally Ingram.
