Local Democrats Have One Big Decision in Primary; Republicans With More Choices

Sample ballots have been mailed to Allegany County voters on the eve of early voting this week and Election Day June 23.  For Republican voters, a highlight is the office of Allegany County Commissioner, where all 3 incumbents and 4 challengers are seeking to finish in the top 3 to advance to November.  Nine Republicans are in the running for governor.  Three Republicans are competing for Congress, including Chris Burnett, Mariela Roca, and Robin Ficker.  Three Republicans are running for sheriff, including Rich Godlove, David Morgan, and Andrew Opel.  For Allegany County Democrats, the big choice is between former Congressman David Trone and incumbent April McMcClain Delaney.
