Moore Commends Creek Leaders

Governor Wes Moore visited the Potomac Fire Company in Westernport during his swing through Allegany County last weekend.  He commended community, state, county, and local officials for the recovery efforts since last year’s flood.  He also once again reviewed the relief that’s coming for George’s Creek…

 

 

“A $12 million commitment that we made to Allegany County in this year’s budget along with a $5.5 million investment to repair the public works infrastructure that the floods damaged.  It’s why we want to make sure that that $5.5 million is focused on restoring the bed of George’s Creek.”
