Moore Pushing Priorities For Legislative Season

Chris Myers

The 2026 session of the Maryland General Assembly begins next week in Annapolis and Governor Wes Moore is spending this week pushing his agenda. On Wednesday, Moore announced his housing growth and affordability plans. The governor is pushing to find ways to break down barriers to buying and building housing across the state. One piece of Moore’s plan is to make available 300 acres of state-owned land adjacent to transit stations and then build 7,000 housing units in those areas.
