Governor Wes Moore announced just over a $124 million in funding to support law enforcement in his proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget. Violent crime hit historic lows across the state this past year with homicides down 25%—the lowest in nearly 40 years—non-fatal shootings are down 28% compared to 2024, and robberies down 25%, extending a decades-long continuous drop in incidents.
