Weis Market To Close

The Weis Market located in Cresaptown has announced its closure as of March 16th. The company posted on Maryland’s Work Adjustment and Retraining Notification or WARN log that the location would be closing and 52 people would be laid off work. The market opened in September of 2016, taking over a Food Lion location. No immediate reason was given for the closure but indications are that sales were not sufficient to keep the location open.
