Talking Points For PACE Week
Local officials have been in Annapolis this week meeting with state leaders and agencies garnering support for projects in Allegany and Garrett Counties. Each year, the PACE committee develops talking points for these discussions that center around a common theme. This year, the constant is support for the Western Maryland Economic Future Fund, also known as the Senator George Edwards Fund. PACE Co-chair Jeremy Irons tells WCBC that the state’s investment has paid off…
“Twenty-six and a half million dollars contributed by the state to economic development projects in Allegany and Garrett counties. That money, the counties have then turned that money into over $230 million dollars in economic impact from the state’s $26 million dollars and 897 jobs.”
