Dan Duggan Running for Hinebaugh’s Seat in the House of Delegates

With the announced retirement of Jim Hinebaugh as the delegate for District 1A, three Republicans have filed to run for that office. One of them, Dan Duggan, spoke to WCBC at the PACE Reception. Duggan has worked in the sheriff’s office and served as a judge on the Orphan’s Court in Garrett County.

“Yeah, so this is something I’ve been looking at for about 10 years. I was a police officer so you get a perspective on the law from the criminal side.”
Duggan added that Delegate Hinebaugh has been helpful in his candidacy.

“He’s really turned into a friend and a mentor. I reach out to him quite often. A lot of it’s about the dynamics of what goes on here.”
