Mechanic Street Assault Arrest

On January 24th, the Cumberland Police Department responded to an apartment complex in the 100 Block of N. Mechanic Street for a reported assault. Officers made contact with Mark William Myers and, following an investigation, determined that he was in violation of previously imposed pretrial release conditions. Myers was taken into custody, and attempted to pull away from officers during the arrest. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for an initial appearance, where he is currently being held without bond.

Charges: Violating Release Conditions, Disturbing the Peace/Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Failure to Obey a Lawful Order, Assault 2nd Degree
