ACM Receiving New EARN MD Project Funds

Kathy Cornwell

Kathy Cornwell has spent over 40 years in local media, starting her career with an internship at WCBC in the late 80s. After graduating from from Frostburg State University, she worked extensively in cable television advertising and programming with Comcast. From 2002 to 2005, she was married to WCBC's Jim Robey. Kathy returned to the News Department at WCBC in 2023.

Allegany College of Maryland is one of 18 projects that will be receiving part of $2.6 million from the Employment Advancement Right Now Maryland Program.  The funds help employers connect Marylanders to occupational training, industry recognized credentials and supportive services.  In a statement, ACM President David Jones said, “I am confident that this Strategic lndustry Partnership represents a timely, innovative, and impactful approach to workforce development in Western Maryland and to deliver lasting workforce solutions for our region.”
