White Ave Assault Arrest
Chris Myers is the Morning Show Producer, Broadcaster, at WCBC Radio in Cumberland, Maryland. Myers handles various operational, engineering duties for the station and directs the morning news. In addition to his broadcasting role, Myers is a prominent downtown Cumberland businessman and an active community member who helps organize local events. Myers has been with the Cumberland Broadcasting Company, which operates WCBC, since August 2019 and began his career in radio broadcasting at the age of 14 as a board engineer for WQOL in Florida. In 1998 he was promoted to Chief Engineer for WTTB 1490AM and WGYL 93.7FM. In 2001 Treasure Coast broadcasters purchased additional stations WOSN, WPAW and WGNX.
On Thursday, January 29th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 700 block of White Ave for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted the residents and victim who advised that an argument had broken out inside the home. During the argument the victim alleged he had been punched in the face by Colton Richard Hudson, 23yo, causing minor injuries. As a result of the investigation, Hudson was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance. He was later released on his own recognizance
