Chris Myers

Chris Myers is the Morning Show Producer, Broadcaster, at WCBC Radio in Cumberland, Maryland. Myers handles various operational, engineering duties for the station and directs the morning news. In addition to his broadcasting role, Myers is a prominent downtown Cumberland businessman and an active community member who helps organize local events. Myers has been with the Cumberland Broadcasting Company, which operates WCBC, since August 2019 and began his career in radio broadcasting at the age of 14 as a board engineer for WQOL in Florida. In 1998 he was promoted to Chief Engineer for WTTB 1490AM and WGYL 93.7FM. In 2001 Treasure Coast broadcasters purchased additional stations WOSN, WPAW and WGNX.

On Sunday, February 1, 2026 at approximately 7:05 AM, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department observed Brit Redden walking through the parking lot of a business on N. Wineow Street towards a vehicle. Officers were familiar with Redden and had knowledge that he was barred from the property due to previous incidents involving tampering with motor vehicles. Redden was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later transported to Central Booking and seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. Redden posted a $3,000 unsecured personal bond.
