United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent sees the newly available Trump Accounts as a way for families to build wealth for their children, giving them a head start when they reach adulthood. The tax-advantaged accounts, invested in a broad stock index, deposit $1,000 for each newborn born between the beginning of 2025 and the end of 2028. Additional deposits can be made into the accounts and could possibly reach $300,000 by a child’s 18th birthday…

“These Trump Accounts are a new way of spreading the great wealth of this country to everybody. What President Trump has done here, he has done the biggest merger in history. It’s Main Street and Wall Street and everyone on Main Street is going to have a slice of Wall Street.”
